Attendance Student Grant

Applications for the grant are now closed

Support of up to $800 offered to graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in power electronics programs to assist in attendance at COMPEL 2022

  The application criterias are:

  • The applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a power electronics program at an accredited institution

  • The applicant must be a PELS member

  • The recipients must be an author or co-author of a paper that was accepted for presentation at COMPEL 2022

  • Applications must be made and received by the Committee by May 25, 2022

  • The recipients will be notified by the Committee by June 1, 2022

  As part of the application process, students must fill in the application form, which provides information about their educational institution, degree program, the name of their faculty advisor and a brief description of their career interest and reasons for planning to attend COMPEL. The application also requires the title and ID number of their accepted COMPEL paper, as well as the name(s) of the co-author(s).


Selection criteria:

  • All Attendance Support reimbursements are at the discretion of the Committee. This intends to mean that any decision made by the Committee is final and cannot be appealed or debated.

  • Attendance Support granted to students from the same institution will be limited. 

  • Only student Authors and Co-Authors of accepted papers are eligible for the Attendance Support.

  • Attendance support recipients will be chosen so that students from as many countries as possible receive the support.

  • Support can be reduced to $350 for students in Israel.

  • Preference will be given to students with more than one paper accepted.

  • The order the application is received may be considered.

  • Recipient must attend and present at COMPEL

  Recipients of the travel grant will:

  • Receive the monetary travel support

  • Recognized with a certificate, presented at COMPEL formal event

  • Be invited to a breakfast meeting with TC1 chair, COMPEL 2022 organizing committee members and prominent members of PELS TC1.
